Auto Glass Week 2026
Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center - San Antonio, Texas
IGA Booth #1220
I voluntarily request permission to participate in the Handgun Challenge presented in the Independent Glass Association ("IGA") booth during Auto Glass Week 2026.
I understand that the term "handgun" in the name of this Challenge refers solely to a hand-operated adhesive dispensing gun used to apply automotive glass adhesive or urethane. The Challenge does not involve a firearm.
The Challenge may require me to load, hold, operate, control, and release pressure from an adhesive dispensing gun and to dispense a bead of adhesive onto a designated surface within an established period of time.
I understand that participating in the Challenge requires:
I certify that I am physically and mentally capable of safely participating. I have not been advised by a physician or other healthcare professional to avoid this type of activity.
I agree not to participate if I have any condition that could make participation unsafe, including a current or recent injury involving my hand, fingers, wrist, arm, elbow, shoulder, back, or neck, or any medical condition that could be aggravated by gripping, squeezing, repetitive motion, standing, bending, or exertion.
I agree to immediately stop participating and notify Challenge personnel if I experience pain, weakness, numbness, dizziness, shortness of breath, loss of control, or any other concerning symptom.
I understand that participation involves known and unknown risks, including, without limitation:
I understand that protective equipment, instructions, supervision, and safety precautions cannot eliminate every risk.
I KNOWINGLY AND VOLUNTARILY ACCEPT AND ASSUME ALL RISKS OF PARTICIPATING IN OR BEING PRESENT AROUND THE CHALLENGE, WHETHER SUCH RISKS ARE KNOWN OR UNKNOWN, FORESEEABLE OR UNFORESEEABLE, AND WHETHER CAUSED BY MY ACTIONS, THE ACTIONS OF OTHERS, THE CONDITION OF THE PREMISES OR EQUIPMENT, OR THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF ANY RELEASED PARTY.
I agree that I will:
I understand that Challenge personnel may refuse or terminate my participation at any time, with or without cause, if they believe continued participation may be unsafe or disruptive.
For purposes of this Agreement, the "Released Parties" include:
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY TEXAS LAW, I, FOR MYSELF AND FOR MY SPOUSE, FAMILY MEMBERS, HEIRS, ESTATE, PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVES, EXECUTORS, ADMINISTRATORS, SUCCESSORS, AND ASSIGNS, HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, ACQUIT, AND FOREVER DISCHARGE THE RELEASED PARTIES FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, CAUSES OF ACTION, DAMAGES, LOSSES, LIABILITIES, COSTS, EXPENSES, OR ATTORNEYS' FEES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO MY PARTICIPATION IN OR PRESENCE AROUND THE CHALLENGE.
THIS RELEASE EXPRESSLY INCLUDES CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE PRESENT OR FUTURE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF ANY RELEASED PARTY, INCLUDING NEGLIGENT ACTS OR OMISSIONS RELATING TO THE DESIGN, ORGANIZATION, MANAGEMENT, SUPERVISION, INSTRUCTION, INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE, SELECTION, PROVISION, OR USE OF THE PREMISES, TOOLS, ADHESIVE, EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS, OR SAFETY PROCEDURES.
This release includes claims involving bodily injury, illness, allergic reaction, chemical exposure, property damage, disability, death, economic loss, loss of consortium, or any other damage suffered by me or another person arising from my participation.
This Agreement is not intended to release claims that cannot lawfully be released under Texas law, including claims finally determined to have resulted from gross negligence, reckless conduct, or intentional misconduct to the extent such claims cannot legally be waived.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, demands, lawsuits, damages, judgments, settlements, penalties, losses, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from:
If I become injured or ill, I authorize the Released Parties to obtain or provide reasonable first aid, emergency medical assistance, transportation, or other treatment considered appropriate under the circumstances.
I understand that the Released Parties are not obligated to provide medical personnel or treatment. I accept full financial responsibility for all medical treatment, transportation, medication, testing, and related expenses incurred on my behalf.
I release the Released Parties from claims arising from the good-faith provision, arrangement, or failure to provide first aid or emergency assistance, except to the extent such claims cannot legally be waived.
I am solely responsible for my personal property. I release the Released Parties from liability for any loss, theft, contamination, staining, or damage involving my clothing, jewelry, eyewear, phone, watch, bag, tools, or other belongings, including damage caused by adhesive or other Challenge materials.
I understand that participation does not guarantee that I will complete the Challenge, receive a score, win, or receive a prize. Decisions made by the judges or Challenge officials regarding safety, scoring, eligibility, disqualification, winners, and prizes are final.
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising from this Agreement or my participation in the Challenge shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Bexar County, Texas, unless the parties agree otherwise in writing.
If any provision of this Agreement is found invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified only to the minimum extent necessary or severed, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
This Agreement contains the entire understanding concerning the subjects addressed herein. No oral statement or representation alters this Agreement.
I acknowledge that:
By selecting "I Agree," I confirm that I have read, understand, and voluntarily agree to this Participant Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability, Indemnification, and Hold Harmless Agreement.
