You Have the Right to Choose

When you file an insurance claim, you have the right to pick the auto glass shop that you want to repair or replace the damage. It’s your vehicle and your choice.

Only do business with an auto glass shop that you can trust. It may be one you’re referred to by family or friends.  It may be an IGA shop from our membership directory.

As long as you are comfortable with the auto glass shop, don't be steered to use another Windshield or Auto Glass repair and replacement shop.

My Insurance Company Recommends another Shop
The insurance company cannot require you to use any shop to repair your auto glass. Treat any auto glass shop that you are referred to by an insurance company as you would any business you’ve not dealt with before. Check them out completely.

When it comes down to a guarantee or warranty, it’s only as good as the integrity of the auto glass shop owner and the windshield repair or replacement shop you choose.

How to choose an IGA auto glass shop?
    - Review the list of IGA shops on this Web site.
    - Ask family and friends for a referral to an IGA shop they were happy with
    - Visit the IGA shop nearest you – is it clean and organized?
    - Visit the glass shop's Web site. Does it give you a feeling of trust?
    - Check with the Better Business Bureau
    - Ask to see their IGA certification
    - Is the IGA glass shop AGRSS registered?
    - Review the glass shop's warranty
    - How long has the auto glass shop been in business?
    - Is there an on-site owner that is committed to the operations of their business
    - Ask for testimonials

If you feel you have been coerced, intimidated or pressured away from your shop of choice, fill out this Steering form, or contact us and we will assist you in reporting it to the proper authorities.
